The documentary uses interaction with public as a means to reflect on the importance of the alliance between the various resistance and minorities movements – such as black, indigenous, LGBTQI+, urban occupation of homeless workers movements, among others - to guarantee the human rights for all. Together with a cast of LGBTQI+ members and social movements and through performances in public spaces, the documentary constructs a story based on physical interaction and using the collective imagination, interweaving fact and fiction to bring the more subtle, profound and ingrained aspects of prejudice to the surface.

Three women, three countries and a common experience. The refuge. Crossing is a six-episode documentary series carried out by three women, a Congolese, a Palestinian and a Haitian. The deep look into the story of each of them also means an immersion in the historical and geopolitical context of these places, that lead to forced uprooting. Through these three women, the audience experiences the challenges they face during their arrival and adaptation to a new culture and a new country, which is not always as welcoming as it seems.
